Step 4 - Monitor it
Now that your web pages are up, the fun begins.
Hopefully, you have access to your server
logs. These logs gives you extremely valuable
information about your website and who's visiting.
For example, lets say you're an Art Coach. You
find that most people are entering your site on
your Art Gallery page. They're missing your message
completely.
You can move your content to where your clients
are. So they have a chance to buy your product
or sign-up for your newsletter.
You can also see what keyword phrases they
used to find your site. Now you have some
incredible insight into your clients. You know
which keywords to target in your marketing and
can refine your marketing campaign to capture
more business.
These are just a couple of the many reasons you
need to monitor your site.
If your web pages are just a minor part of
your marketing program, you should check your
web logs at least once a month.
If you're a serious marketer and want to get
the most out of your Internet investment,
you probably want to check your logs at least
once a week.
