Problem:

PowerSpeaking™ is a well-established training company in Redwood City, California. They had a web site for several years that was so cobbled up it was impossible for their clients to find anything let alone place an order.

They were having trouble getting their designer to add new content. They would put in a request for an update and it would take weeks for the information to be added to the site.

After shopping around and spending thousands of dollars on "comps" they came to us to build a new web site.


What we did:

First, we completely redesigned their web site with intuitive navigation. Their clients and prospects can get to any place on the site in three clicks or less.

Second, we set up an ordering system so they could take registrations online. This is a unique system. Some of their orders are from large corporations using a purchase order, while others are from individuals paying with their credit cards. The system is also set up to return complete details on the workshops once the credit card has cleared.

Third, the president of the company and his daughter are very accomplished photographers. We added a gallery so they can add their own photographs.

The Results:

Problem:

Lifeline Productions develops radio scripts for Christian radio stations. Hen they came to us they relied on the radio spots to market their scripts. They were getting 8,000 visitors to their web site each month but very few were converting into sales.

In order to add new scripts they had to wait up to three years and pay $2,500 to $3,000 for their service provider to add them to their shopping cart. I addition they were paying a very high percent of each sale for their credit card processing.

What we did:

First, we redesigned the entire web site for ease of navigation and eye appeal. Then we reorganized the scripts into a logical order, added a drop down menu for selection and cross-referenced the scripts to the CD's they offer.

Next, we added a shopping cart so they can add their own scripts to the web site whenever they want and set them up with their own online credit card processing.

Finally, we optimized the web site for the search engines and got them started on their own search engine submission program.

The Results:

Dramatic! Within weeks the web site moved from being lost in the search results to being number 6 on the first page.

The conversion of their visitors to paying customers has more than doubled. They are saving thousands of dollars every year on the fees they were paying.

Best of all, they can add new scripts as quickly as they are created and they are no longer dependent solely on the radio stations for their referrals.


Problem:

Lifefocus had a web site posted on the Internet for several years to promote a retirement planning software. The program was reasonable priced at $19.95 but no one was buying.

What we did:

First we had a lot of discussion on the pricing issue. People connect cost with value. After much discussion we convinced the client to raise the price to $79.95, four times what they were originally asking.

Next we redesigned the entire site, taking quotes from the book with the opening line:

More Sensitive Than Sex,
More Powerful Than Politics ...

We're talking about the meaning of money in your life.

A real eye catcher. The redesign included search engine optimization on the pages and a sales page complete with a six month guarantee.

The Results:

Without any further marketing, on line or off, sales skyrocketed from none to thousands of dollars. The page currently has Goggle page ranking of 4 out of 10 (which is good) and links from sites such as business.com.


Problem:

Jim Babcock does some great painting and wanted to get more exposure using the Internet. His wife, Vicky came to one of my workshops but was so overwhelmed by the information that she didn't feel comfortable staying for the whole workshop. I made arrangements to visit her for a private consultation.

As a struggling artist, funds were very scarce and they needed a site they could maintain themselves with limited computer skills.


What we did:

We worked with Jim and Vicky to design a very simple web site that would feature his art, be search engine friendly and give them the ability to take orders online. We added a gallery so they could quickly and easily add pictures using just their web browser.


Results:

Designed and built the web site sonomasierraart.com. The site uses both the Gallery and Freedom Editor so they can add their own images and content. Even though Vicky was afraid of "breaking something" she built the entire image gallery.
