Free shopping cart

E-Commerce made E-zy

When you mention a shopping cart, most people say, "I don't need one". Actually, if they plan on taking credit cards, they usually do.

If you you are going to sell anything through your website, from prints, to E-Books, you need a way to capture your client's credit card information, mailing address and what they just bought.

You also need to thank them for the sale, send them an email to confirm the order and, if it is a downloadable product, give them a link to download their new prize.

That's a lot to do if you're going to do it by hand. By signing up for a free shopping cart (free 30 day trial) you can see how much time you can save automating the whole process.

People think the Internet is an impersonal world, but it doesn't need to be. A little courtesy can go a long way.

I the old days (like last year) you had to have a shopping cart built and installed on your website. You also had to buy a security certificate so that little lock at the bottom of the browser will close, protect your clients' information, and set up the whole communication system (thank-you's e-mail's, etc.)

Thousands of dollars and many months later, you were finally ready to take orders. Well things have changed dramatically.

You can still have a custom shopping cart on your site, but why bother. There are third party providers that can handle the whole process for you on THEIR web site.

No more security issues, no more waiting. You can be signed up for a free shopping cart and be ready to go in less than ten minutes.

Compare shopping carts

There is no straight across the board way to compare shopping carts. Every one has it's own features. Some offer you a free shopping cart for a 30-day trial, others don't.

What I can do is give you an overall review and you can visit their site to see what features meet your needs.

The first is the big guy on the block,

Yahoo - For my money, Yahoo is a bit over priced. Their e-commerce solution includes the cart and a 350MB website. The set up is $50 and the monthly fee ranges from $40 - $300/ month.

Here's the part I find hard to swallow, in addition to the fee they want from 1 to 1.5% of your sales.

VeriCart.com - prices range from $20 to $95 based on your monthly traffic. The nice thing is that all the packages include all the features. The downside is they don't have a free trial period.

1Shopping Cart - This Company definitely sets the standard. Most professional speakers and coaches' use this cart for its download feature.

Their carts range from $19 to $79. The $19 cart is a feature rich stand-alone cart. For an additional $20 you can add the auto responder so you can have up to 10,000 people subscribed to your Ezine.

The $79 cart gives you the ability to sell downloadable products (images, pdf, eBooks, etc.), very nice and very automatic. You also have the Affiliate module so you can set up your own affiliate program.

All the carts have ad tracking so you can keep an eye on your ad campaigns.

As far as customer support they are great. Someone is always there to answer your questions. They also have audio tutorials and a pretty good manual.

They offer you a free shopping cart for 30 days. You have a chance to use the full sized model before you even spend one penny.

We also have a series of quick start TeleClasses to help get you going fast. When you sign up through our link, I'll give you the entire series of classes absolutely free of charge.
